OVERVIEW

UPR is the production unit of the Renée family group, a Guadeloupean sandwich and pastry brand founded in 1963

The company carries forward a local culinary heritage built around iconic recipes, while developing new formats suited to modern distribution channels. Its flagship product, Chocolat Renée, is rooted in a recipe that has been served for many years across Renée's establishments in Guadeloupe. Now available in long-life Tetra Pak format, it is manufactured in mainland France with a recognised industrial partner, while preserving the authentic Creole taste of the original recipe.

Our ambition is to bring this product to the Caribbean market — particularly Trinidad and Tobago — through local distribution and foodservice partners such as cafés, coffee shops and patisseries.

PRODUCT & OFFER

During the tasting session, we will be presenting Chocolat Renée, a premium ready-to-drink chocolate beverage available in 1L and 50cl formats. It is a rich, indulgent milk-based chocolate drink made with cocoa, sweetened condensed milk and Caribbean spices — including cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla and citrus zest. The product can be enjoyed hot, cold, iced or blended as a frappé or frozen drink, making it particularly well suited to the Caribbean climate and to café, foodservice and retail settings.

Its key differentiator lies in its authentic taste — inspired by a traditional Guadeloupean family recipe — with a generous texture and a strong cultural identity. The long-life format simplifies distribution, with no cold chain required before opening.

The innovation is in the transformation of a beloved artisanal recipe into a ready-to-consume, premium, exportable product adapted to international markets. Our participation in TIC 2025 reflects the growing appetite for this Renée-style "cocoa tea" beyond the island.

What are we looking for

We are primarily looking for experienced importers and distributors in Trinidad & Tobago, with strong access to both foodservice and retail channels. Our priority is to identify partners able to introduce Chocolat Renée to premium supermarkets, gourmet stores, cafés, coffee shops, hotels, restaurants, caterers and selected convenience retail networks.
